So...I know I said nekopara was the first anime I would review here but uh...it's just weird, even for me, like, it doesn't even feel liked fanservice it's just...it's not even bad but...uh hard to explain my feelings for that, but anyways because I havent finished it and am watching an episode per month, I'm gonna review and write a 2000 word essay on...
So, Onimai...where to begin? wait hold on, this reminded me, I have a meth exam tomorrow and Im not getting sleepy so Im gonna go get some cough syrup.
Im back, man this tastes like shit, so...why am I watching this in the first place? Well, I started watching it about 2 months ago, but then a few things happened that made me care about my social status so I stopped, but then, some other things happened these last few days that made me go: "You know what? I dont care about my social status anymore, Im gonna do whatever the fuck I want" and I kept watching onimai.
Before I begin, I do want to say something positive about this which is the art style, like, bro the art style is so fucking GOOD, like, I FUCKING LOVE IT, I LOVE THE FACIAL EXPRESSIONS, I LOVE THE BACKGROUND, I FUCKING LOVE HOW THE FUCKING CHARACTERS ARE DRAWN AND I JUST FUCKING LOVE THAT ITS SO FUCKING BRIGHT IT MAKES ME FUCKING SICK, IT MAKES MY EYES AND STOMACH HURT I FUCKING LOVE IT AGHH
But anyways, so, whats onimai about? well basically, this mad scientist girl turns her incel brother into a 12 year old girl and he starts to enjoy it...yeah...
Now, if you've heard about this anime you've probably also heard about the controversy of its themes and some scenes, and I have to say...yes, some scenes are...questionable at best, theres nothing ever too explicit but there is stuff like that here and there, of course I dont really support a lot of these scenes because...she's like, fucking 10 bro, and some of them don't really add anything to the story, however, some others do add things to the story.
Before you call me a sick, perverted, fucking waste of oxygen, poor excuse of a human being for watching this, Im gonna tell you, yes, I am a waste of oxygen poor excuse of a human being, I have a friend and they've told me that some things I do may be a little bit...creepy, but I'm also gonna tell you something positive about this anime, its only made for sick perverted waste of oxygens if you look at it that way, if you ignore that stuff which really is less than 5 percent of the whole anime, then theres actually some valuable entertainment to be pulled out from there.
So, on to the actual review, the anime starts with the protagonist, Mahiro waking up and finding out she is now a girl...sometimes I wish that'd happen to mee-Imean

So, Mahiros sister arrives to her? his? their? room, and there it is revealed that the sister, Mihari is behind all of this, so they fight a bit, but Mahiro accepts that now he has to live with it, so, for the first time in years (not kidding lol) Mahiro goes outside and touches some grass.
These first episodes are all kinda like this, Mahiro learning to live like a girl, and I have no complains really, just that...it's terrifyingly awful how many times I said "Literally me!!!! :0"
For example, we see a bit of Mahiro's backstory, and how everyone was always better than him, especially his sister, who's a genius, he never had any victories, this led him to be terrified of the outside and to not go outside, I seriously cant stress how fucking relatable this is, like, even before watching this every day I feel like that, I've even thought to myself "I wish I could just stay at home all day and never go out" because for some reason, everyones better than me at everything I do.
But anyways, the first episode I have something meaningful to say about is the one where Mahiro meets one of their sister's friends, Kaede, I think its a good introduction to her character and also move Mahiro's development forward, Kaede tries to do her hair, and at first they don't like it, but they start enjoying it, and even treating Kaede like a sister.
However...
There is a scene where I have my first meaningful complain about, where kaede asks Mahiro "you've never done "that" have you?" Mahiro is, understandably, fucking terrified, and kaede starts moving towards Mahiro like shes gonna peg her, but in the end she was referring to doing makeup.
I understand that this was for a comedic moment, and for me it wouldve been fine I guess, but again, shes fucking 12 bro.
On the next episode Mahiro meets...uhh...what was her name? Mijagi? Mihagi? Mick Jager?
Momiji! ugh, me fucking idiot.
So she meets her at a grocery store, I actually think its a nice introduction, also at first Mahiro thinks shes a boy xd lol lmao rofl, although I think Momiji is a lil bit trans too? Im not sure, but anyways, Mahiro then is like "omg I think im gay hes cute" but then kaede arrives and is like "omg have u met my sister?!?!?!?!" and then Mahiro is like "HE'S A SHE?!?!?!?!"
And so, Mahiro gets a crush, aw, how fucking cute, and she tells her sister and she invites them over, so Mihari suggests that...Momiji, yes, goes to Mahiro's room, and Mahiro is like "B-but I haven't hidden the porn :("
A little bit of more context here, because Mahiro was an incel, he had lots of porn, but I mean...I don't know why he'd do that when he has the fucking internet, he can just go to some random hentai websute and read his porn there,now, before you say "but Mordecai, you have physical hentai mangas too!!!!" Im gonna answer with...yes, but the difference is that 1: my hentai is censored, 2: my hentai has 2 men kissing, 3: I just bought it for shits and giggles, and 4: Its called Joy if you want to read it.
But anyways, Momiji finds the porn, and Mahiro just says "not mine but I wanna keep it lol" and Momiji just says she'll help to put it in boxes, and then, theres the next scene I have an actual problem with.
So, Momiji helps to categorize the porn and put it in boxes, but on the last box, she slips and her hands end up touching Mahiro's breasts...obviously.
I just asked chatgpt how possible this is to happen and it said its theoretically possible, but it would be very uncommon.
But well, Mihari walks in right when that happens, and says the funniest shit Ive ever heard legit.

On the next episode there isn't much to note, however, on the next next episode there is, so, Mahiro goes to an arcade, and

But anyways, Mahiro plays some stuff, and eventually gives in and starts playing Project sekai, however, the arcade police catches them because she is supposed to be in school, and so, the saddest moment in anime history begins..
On the next episode, Mahiro is forced to relive middle school (NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!)
Honestly if someone told me I had to go back to middle school id actually beat them to death on the spot.
Mahiro also meets some of her crush's friends, and they mostly hang out with each other, but Mahiro tries to get closer to the boys to talk about the epic encirclement he did against the soviets or the Afghanistan world conquest he did in his latest hoi4 playthrough, because while he is now a girl, on the inside, he is still a bit of a boy...just like me-Iiii mean

But anyways, Mahiro fails all of her exams (lol get rekt kid, I just got 100 on my math exam) but now at least its winyer break, Mahiro plans to do nothing all day, but her little shit of a sister invites her friends for a sleepover, so, fucking, relatable, I cant count the times my parents have invited someone and tell me 5 seconds before they arrive, or were going somewhere and tell me an hour before we have to go there, but well, theres nothing Mahiro can do now...
So, they play a racing game which looks just like that south park racing game lmao
Mahiro lost so she has to do the dishes lol, but now everyone wants to take a bath, now while there are a lot of bath scenes in the anime I dont really have too much trouble with them because theyre censored and arent sexual in any way, but anyways, Mahiro is scared to go in the bath with anyone so she just goes with her sister lmao, and everyone else goes in together, and I just have to say one thing:

Heyyyyy, do you remember that I just said, like, 5 minutes ago that this anime wasn't for perverts waste of oxygen poor excuses for human beings and that the bath scenes were fine? well I take it all back, the mext bath scene is definitely not good.
So, Mahiros friends are bathing together, and one of the friends has big fucking breasts (Miyo), and its juat too visible, so the other girl (asahi) tells how she met Momiji and how she found out that she was a girl when they were bathing together, so, Miyo jokingly asks for a "reenactment" but instead Asahi starts washing Miyo, and she touches her breasts while washing her, and I think Asahi finds out that shes gay? or maybe she feels bad because her breasts are small? I don't really understand this scene, but in either case it could've been handled much better.
But anyways, the sleepover has now begun, and Asahi just randomly starts ww1 but with pillows, ans she does this lmao

After this they start talking, and Miyo proposes to talk about romance, but Asahi being the autistic idiot that she is tells a really stupid ghost story, but apparently she just did it to fuck with Momiji cause she already knew she was a scaredy cat.
But well, its night now and Momiji wants to go shit, but she can't cause she's scawed, relatable honestly, however, Mahiro lost her sheet to that asshole of Asahi, so she tries to sleep with Momiji, and then they fuck...the end.
Just kidding XD lol lmao rofl, Momiji shits herself cause she thinks Mahiro is the monster Asahi talked about, the "Pillow flipper"
Mahiro offers Momiji to sleep on her futon, and then Mahiro just fuckin fbi open ups her sisters bedroom door and just sleeps next to her cause she has no other place to sleep lol.
But well, everyone wakes up and Miyo starts to get a little bit suspicious about Mihari and Momiji cause they act a little bit sus when they're together.
The next episode is the christmas episode, yay, Mihari says she's going on a date but she's just meeting Kaede to go shopping, however, Momiji and Mahiro also meet together to spy on their sisters, after stalking them for a while they say: "Fuck it this is getting boring" and go sopping together, Mahiro tries to get Momiji to try on some girl clothes, and apparently Momiji somewhat enjoys it, at least the last outfit she tried on.
After this all of them return home, and Mihari reveals that she bought something for Mahiro, a scarf, and apparently she bought a matching one for Momiji too,
